𝟏. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐘𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞?

Yeshua is the Messiah and the living Word of G-d. He is the Sar HaPanim, the Prince of the Presence, and the One who makes G-d known to us. Torah observance fits perfectly with Yeshua’s life and teachings. He told us He did not come to abolish the Torah but to fulfill it. His example shows how to honor G-d and live in His covenant.

𝟐. 𝐃𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐬?

No. Torah Pursuant believers do not replace the Jewish people. Gentiles are grafted into the promises of Israel, as Paul explains in Romans 11. G-d’s covenant with the Jewish people stands forever, and they remain central to His plan.

𝟑. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐬?

Torah Pursuant believers honor the Torah without fully adopting Jewish customs or traditions. Messianic Jews often combine faith in Yeshua with Jewish culture and rabbinic practices. Torah Pursuancy focuses on what the Bible teaches, avoiding both Christian traditions and rabbinic legalism.

Torah Pursuant believers respect Jewish traditions and the Jewish people as the keepers of the Torah. They follow the commandments in Scripture rather than adopting traditions meant for Jews. Instead of pretending to be Jewish, they embrace their identity as Gentiles who honor G-d’s Word.

𝟓. 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬?

Rabbinic teachings can be helpful for understanding history and context. They are not binding for Torah Pursuant believers, though. The Torah is the final authority, and Yeshua’s life and words guide how it should be lived out.

The Torah and the New Testament work together. The Torah lays the foundation for understanding G-d’s plan, and the New Testament reveals its fulfillment through Yeshua. Both are G-d’s Word and cannot be separated.

𝟕. 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬?

Torah Pursuant believers focus on the biblical festivals, like those in Leviticus 23, to honor G-d. Some also celebrate Christian holidays, such as Christmas and Easter, as part of their faith in Yeshua. These holidays often have roots in Jewish traditions, like Passover and the dedication of the Temple (or Feast of Tabernacles), which point to Yeshua as the Messiah.

𝟖. 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧?

Some call themselves Christian, and others do not. Torah Pursuancy is about following Yeshua and returning to the Bible’s teachings. It moves away from church traditions that do not align with Scripture.

Torah Pursuant believers honor the Torah as Gentiles. They know they are not Jewish and do not claim to be. They focus on obeying G-d’s commandments and living out their role as part of Israel’s family without taking on a Jewish identity.

𝟏𝟎. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞?

Christian doctrines are tested against Scripture. If they align with G-d’s Word, they are kept. Doctrines based on tradition instead of truth are rejected. This includes ideas like replacement theology or teaching that G-d’s commandments are no longer valid.

𝟏𝟏. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 "𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧," 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐭?

Pagan refers to practices rooted in idolatry or worship not based on Scripture. Torah Pursuant believers avoid influences that contradict G-d’s Word. Instead, they follow practices and traditions that align with Scripture and point to Yeshua as Messiah.

𝟏𝟐. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦?

Torah Pursuancy is not about earning salvation. It is about loving G-d and walking in His ways. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Yeshua. Obeying the Torah shows love for G-d, not an attempt to gain His favor.

Here are the steps: Discover a mitzvah. Study how it developed in the Tanak and New Testament. Study how the Rabbis, Sages, and early Church Fathers interpreted it. Read about its application through the centuries into the modern era. See how the Holy Spirit applied it in different cultures and contexts. Ask the Holy Spirit how you should apply it. Do it! This is "Pursuing the Torah."

𝟏𝟒. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧?

Torah Pursuant believers in Yeshua who are Gentiles do not convert to Judaism unless they feel called to do so. Likewise, Jews do not convert to Christianity. Torah Pursuancy is more about conversations than conversions. Jews and Christians can teach Torah Pursuant believers and Torah Pursuant believers can teach Jews and Christians. The Torah Pursuant does not require conversion for themselves or for the Jew or Christian.
